Petty Officer 1st Class David M. Tapper	32	Naval Special Warfare Development Group	Atco, New Jersey	Tapper was wounded when his convoy engaged enemy forces near Orgun, Afghanistan, on August 20, 2003. He was evacuated to Bagram Air Base hospital near Kabul, where he died of his wounds.

Maj. Steven Plumhoff	33	58th Special Operations Squadron, 58th Special Operations Wing	Neshanic Station, New Jersey	Killed when a MH-53M Pave Low helicopter accidentally crashed in Afghanistan on November 23, 2003

Staff Sgt. Thomas A. Walkup Jr.	25	20th Special Operations Squadron, 16th Special Operations Wing	Millville, New Jersey	Killed when a MH-53M Pave Low helicopter accidentally crashed in Afghanistan on November 23, 2003

Pvt. Robert C. White III	21	Headquarters Company, 864th Engineer Battalion, 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade	Camden, New Jersey	Died of non-combat related injuries at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, on April 23, 2005

Capt. Charles D. Robinson	29	Company C, 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne)	Haddon Heights, New Jersey	Killed when a roadside bomb exploded near his Ground Mobility Vehicle during operations in Afghanistan's southeastern region near Orgun-e, Afghanistan, on June 3, 2005

Staff Sgt. Christian Longsworth	26	3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group	Newark, New Jersey	Died of wounds sustained when his convoy came under enemy small arms fire during combat operations in Oruzgan province, Afghanistan, on May 19, 2006

Staff Sgt. Robert J. Chiomento	34	Company B, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division	Fort Dix, New Jersey	Killed when his patrol encountered enemy forces using rocket-propelled grenades and mortars in Khwaya Ahmad, Afghanistan, on July 17, 2006
